About Zehra
Zehra Naqvi is an educator, a Rhodes Scholar, and an award-winning writer. In the past decade, Zehra has designed and delivered impactful educational programming and initiatives for diverse audiences, platforms, and formats in Canada, the US, the UK, and Pakistan. Her varied interests have led her to working in digital media, journalism, academia, publishing, ed tech, and community-based education.
As a writer, Zehra has published fiction, poetry, and non-fiction internationally. She was awarded the 2021 Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers by The Writers' Trust of Canada. Her debut book of poetry is under contract to be published in Spring 2024.
A lifelong learner herself, Zehra has formally studied English literature, creative writing, migration studies, and social anthropology at UBC and Oxford University. Currently, she is learning about ecology, biology, planetary intelligence, the history of technology, and collage-making.
